I stumbled upon Willing Beauty by accident. I’ll blame my daughter Angie for this, but I was truly looking for a skincare line for her. She’s still on the young side but will often come to my room before bed and ask me to put a ‘night cream’ on her face. As a competitive gymnast, she has learned the importance of washing her face and removing the sweat from her skin. So there I was, surfing the internet for a safe skincare line for girls.
I liked the Willa skincare line because it was simple, clean, easy to use and best of all, free of parabens, sulfates, DEA, phthalates, mineral oils, chemical sunscreens and synthetic fragrances. A skincare line that was easy, and one that I could trust.
Then I found Willing Beauty, and the rest is history.
I’m not going to lie, I was really drawn to the pretty packaging first. I’m a sucker for good design and I do admittedly at times judge books by their cover. In this case though, it was way more than a pretty package. As someone who has struggled with acne-prone skin since I was a pre-teen, I’m not over exaggerating when I say I’ve tried hundreds of skincare lines. All of them making grandiose claims, some full of toxic and harmful ingredients, some uber-expensive and literally unaffordable, some esthetician-recommended, some internet-reviewed sensations, and some even bleaching my nicest towels and bedding (thanks a lot benzoyl peroxide.)
What I’ve found to be true of Willing Beauty is this: It’s simple, it’s safe, it’s nourishing, it’s full of antioxidants and high-performing ingredients. My skin tone and texture has improved dramatically. Will I still get an occasional breakout? Yes! But the thing that has changed is my skin just looks and feels healthy and I know that what I’m putting on my skin contains no harmful or harsh ingredients.
What about my willa girl?
Here’s a photo of my daughter Angie prepping for a gymnastics meet with willa Face the Day tinted primer and our family- favorite XO Coconut Lip Oil. Her skin deserves the best start, and I trust Willing Beauty’s willa skincare line as she begins to learn how to care and keep beautiful skin.
